Monster Dash - Back From The Dead, is a remaster of the original HalfBrick title - Monster Dash. The game has transitioned from a premium price point into a free to play title. Gameplay has been refined and improved, new features have been added. The game and UI have undergone artistic overhauls. Collaborations include working with: HalfBrick, Sony - for the Ghostbusters Event and Naavik (Deconstructers of Fun) - Free To Play Mobile Market Expertise & Research.

 

Core Game Design Responsibilities

  • Core game loop, mechanics, controls & flow improvements.

  • Identify existing design problems - propose solutions.

  • Document feature proposals.

  • UI / UX design.

  • Overall game & level polish.

  • VFX creation & implementation.

  • Event design: milestones, rewards, flow.

  • Pivot based on analytics & feedback.

    Live-Ops planning.

  • Tutorial design.

  • Weapon design & balancing.

  • Gadget design & balancing.

  • Powerup design & balancing.

  • Costume design.

  • Item flavour text descriptions.

  • Collaborate with artists, animators, programmers, production and stakeholders.

Game Design Contributions

  • Game balancing.

  • IAP’s and sales design.

  • Virtual currency in/out flow.

  • Boosting IAP sales strategies.

  • Retention strategies.

  • Ad revenue strategies.

Misc Responsibilities

  • C# Scripting - UI, tutorial, weapons, gameplay, FX, bug tracking, bug fixing.

  • UI Implementation - Art & scripting.

  • Live-Ops Inventory and Currency - Setup & maintenance.

  • JSON Scripting - Playfab - items, packs, game, event, unlocks - custom data.

  • Quality Assurance (QA).

  • Character, monster, weapon - from assets to playable in game pipeline (Photoshop -> Spine -> Unity).

  • Character, monster, weapon - skin, rigging, animations, meshing - setup and maintenance.

  • Localisation implementation and maintenance.

  • Feature design for a multitude of unreleased features.

  • Project maintenance.

  • Storefront presence - what’s new, screenshots, video capture.

  • Technically guide artists and animators.
